Bethany Nicole Muir

Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here! This is very new and definitely a work in progress, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, you can learn more about me below by clicking the buttons or simply scrolling through my site! (PS I use a lot of exclamation marks because I feel like it is the best way to authentically express myself through text;)

A Bit About Me

I’m a multi-faceted, neurodivergent artist originally from Houston, Texas and currently based in Huntsville, Texas. I am a senior at Sam Houston State University pursuing a BFA in Theatre with emphasis in Acting & Directing and a double minor in Dance & Marketing. I am an actor, director, dancer, graphic designer, photographer, and an artist always seeking to learn and grow. I use my full name in memory of a mentor of mine, Nicole Flenniken, who passed away from cancer when I was 18. Check out the link below to follow my journey on my socials!

Social media management

I spent summer 2025 in Macon, MO serving as Marketing Intern for Maples Repertory Theatre. This job included being the social media manager, graphic designer, and rehearsal/event photographer. Below you will find some of the work I did during my time there. Check out @maplesrep on Insta!

Rock of Ages Branding Package

For Rock of Ages I collaborated with the costume department to incorporate primary colors seen onstage into my designs. Between that and referencing the logo created by the theatre, I was able to come up with this fun red glitter and rock concert silhouette combination which I used for all Rock of Ages related designs for marketing. Check out the slideshow and some variations of this design that I used for different purposes (ie using gold instead of red for Ladies Night Out) at the bottom of this page!

Clue: On Stage Branding Package

For Clue: On Stage I first spoke with the director and then collaborated with the scenic department to create a package that could be used both on set and in my marketing materials. From their inspiration board, I created a Clue card format that was adjusted to fit everything from cast announcements to accusation cards that were displayed as 6’ boards onstage during the show (see at the bottom of this section!)

Simple signs!

In addition to creating social media graphics, I was also in charge of making simple signs to go around the theatre and on the back of each bathroom stall door. Here are some of the printable signs I created to help the flow of traffic and to minimize questions for the staff. These were very effective as they helped audiences answer their own questions about ticketing, the program, and show runtimes!

Rock of Ages Bourbon Bracket

I got audiences involved by starting a bracket with their favorite songs in the show. This started with our opening audience choosing the songs, continued for our four week run, and winner was announced at curtain of our closing night!

Nunsense Branding Package

For Nunsense I collaborated with the Director who said he wanted a stained glass window look and to lean into the idea that the nuns put it together themselves. There wasn’t a stained glass that fit the shape and colors we wanted, so I created one myself! I again worked with the costume department to find primary colors to represent each character which you can see in each of the stars on the cast announcement.

Clue: on stage character cards

In true Clue fashion, I made cards featuring a photograph and name of each character and the actors name. I posted them on Instagram each day as a countdown to closing and a way to increase reposting and engagement with audiences. These posts got a lot of interaction in an unexpected way as well: patrons began to post their positive feedback on individual actors performances and provided some great quotes for audience opinion posts.
